A Virtual Introduction.

Seemlingly, most of us, regardless of our background, our occupation, our culture and/or other demographically distinguishing factors, have probably heard something... somewhere along the line about "Virtual Worlds" or "Second Life" or "Active Worlds" or "Immersive Environments" or "Serious Games" or "3D Worlds" or "Animation" or "Machinima" or "Architectural Visualisation" or "Massively Multi-Player Online (MMO) Games" or "Role Playing Games (RPG)" such as Guildwars, World of War Craft etc etc…

[If not.. then please move over so I can join you under your rock!!]

Well, I had… And I do not see myself as a “geek” particularly and I am definitely not a 11 to 14 year old boy (they seem to know everything about anything virtual or technical).

You must understand I started this journey with a healthy affection for feeling the warmth of the sun on my face and the thrill of the hairs on the back of my neck perking to the touch of a cool breeze… Nor do I have any debilitating anti-social habits or compulsions – that I know of… Yes, I know a little about computers. Yes, I can read. Yes, I can even string a sentence together occasionally (when in print… not necessarily without the intermittent spelling error just to prove my fallibility and… that I AM*(see side track below**…) in fact a person and not Alan Turing’s dream date ;-)). Most people seem to even respond to my articulations appropriately some of the time which would indicate a fare competency at communication on my part… and theirs.

So now we know who I AM*... perhaps you'd like to join me on this journey... And if you are already one of those "in the know".. then please have patience and help me/us along where you can with good, helpful, understandable comments and input - preferably devoid of geek-speak or techno-jargon, please.

This explodes into a plethora of virtual Entrepreneurial possibilities:… Vir-psychology practice with Virtual Therapy session.. and Virtual cathartic therapy – relive your trauma in a virtual world… or Real world therapy to address Virtual trauma or cure VPTS (need I say it.. Virtual Post Traumatic Stress).. the mind bloggles J
